Ebay and Nostalgia Tuesday, November 14, 2006 |

As I gear up for another round of Ebay auctions I realized that I’m going to reach over 600 positive feedback comments. Granted, I’ve probably had over 700 transactions but not everyone likes to be courteous and leave feedback. This milestone of 600 has got me thinking, what are the things over the past 5 years that I’ve sold? Call me a silly sentimentalist but I have found that when I do sell stuff on Ebay, I now keep the picture of the items that I’ve sold. There are memories attached to each of those items and a part of me would die inside if I didn’t have something to remember them by. I find myself looking back over pictures of the items and reminiscing about the “good times” when the item was more meaningful to me. Taking these pictures is my little way of being a packrat without actually having all of the physical items as proof. (which my wife appreciates) I also get a little cash to buy more things and enter this cycle again. So here’s to you Ebay, and those 600 transactions of memories past.
